Award-winning journalist Amy Goodman, host of the daily, grassroots, global, radio/TV news hour Democracy Now!, is on a national speaking tour to mark DN!'s 13th anniversary and launch her new book, Breaking the Sound Barrier.

DESCRIPTION: Amy Goodman will deliver this year's Everett C. Parker Ethics in Telecommunications. The lecture was created in 1982 to recognize OC, Inc. founder the Rev. Dr. Everett C. Parker and his pioneering work as an advocate for the public's rights in broadcasting. Honorees include: Katherine Grincewich, Associate General Counsel of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops; Randall Pinkston, CBS News; Ken McEldowney, Executive Director of Consumer Action.
