Award-winning journalist Amy Goodman, host of the daily, grassroots, global, radio/TV news hour Democracy Now!, is on a national speaking tour to mark DN!'s 12th anniversary and launch her third book with journalist David Goodman, Standing Up to the Madness: Ordinary Heroes in Extraordinary Times.

A three-city day in California on Sept. 17, 2006 was highlighted by folksinger Loriel Golden serenading attendees to our event in Sebastopol, California, a fundraiser for KRCB community radio; speaking at a media conference in San Rafael and supporting the publication of the Independent Media Guide of Marin, and speaking at the sold out Rio Theater in Santa Cruz, a benefit for KUSP.
